Teaching Procedures 
一、課前熱身 Step 1 Revision 
Play a game of “Spelling Bee” to see if you have remembered the new words.

播放一段美國中學生學校生活的視頻，讓學生了解美國中學生的生活，并且引導學生用學過的形容詞來描述美國高中生的生活，讓學生把所學的知識應用到實際生活當中。

Activity 1: Discussion 
Did you ever think your high school life 
hard/annoying/awkward/irritating...like the student in the picture, If so, tell us the reasons. 設計意圖： 
先通過展示一個圖片，分析當前中學生厭學的現狀，并讓學生結合自己的實際情況說出理由。之后，用圖表的方式總結當今中學生厭學的原因，從而幫助學生們了解厭學的深層原因。 
Activity 2: Role-play 
Situation: One day, your close friend called Tom tells you 
he doesn’t want to go to school, but his parents don’t agree with him.  
Act Tom and his classmate. Do you agree with Tom or his parents? Please make some suggestions for his senior high school life. Sentence patterns:

邀請兩個學生來到講臺，演繹中學生厭學，同學之間如何互幫互助的情景，從而使這節課的主題得到了進一步地升華，使學生們在學到英語知識的同時，得到了熱愛學習，擯除厭學情緒的思想教育，從而落實了情感目標。

Write a composition about your suggestions for Tom’s senior high school life, using the words and expressions we have just learned.
