Teaching design of Reading Keep It Up，Xie Lei Chinese student fitting in well 
Analysis of the teaching material: 
The content of my lesson is Reading part from New Senior English for China Book 7 Unit 5 Travelling abroad. It is a new report which introduces the studying experience of Xie Lei in London. It is hoped that through the passage, the students’ awareness of learning from others will be stimulated and they will know some information about studying abroad.  Analysis of the learners: 
The class is given to Senior Two students who have mastered a certain amount of English words and phrases as well as some useful reading strategies such as skimming for main idea and scanning for specific information. However, they still have difficulties in reading and expressing themselves in English. Teaching aims: Knowledge objects: 
Grasp some important words, phrases, some information about studying abroad. Ability objects:  
Train students’ reading abilities by using different skills. 
Enable students to learn how to make some preparation if they want to study abroad. Emotion and moral object: 
Stimulate students’ awareness of learning from others.  
Build up the students’ confidence and determination of facing difficulties and challenges in their study and life. 
Teaching important points: 
1）Guide students to grasp some useful words, expressions and some information about studying abroad. 2）Encourage students to express their opinions in English . Teaching difficult points: 
 How to guide students to express their opinions in English according to the text. Teaching methods

  Lead in the topic by showing the beautiful scenery of the UK. 
Purpose: To arouse students’ interest and review what they have learnt in BOOK5 Unit 2 the United Kingdom, lead in the topic of this class by showing the pictures. Step 2 Pre-reading

Purpose: To encourage students to think the question about studying abroad so that they can read actively, not passively.
