I Teaching aims: 
By the end of the class, students will  
1. have their vocabulary enlarged by learning some words related to jobs. 
2. improve their language ability & learning ability in the process of learning some rules of word formation. 
3. enhance their logical and creative thinking ability by observing words and figuring out the meanings of the affixes as well as the rules of word formation. II Teaching procedures: 1. Free chat & lead-in 
2. Learn about some suffixes to form nouns. (words related to different jobs) 
Activity 1. Observe the examples & work out the rule 
Activity 2. Classify the words into groups & work out the meanings of the suffixes 3. Learn about some suffixes to form adjectives. (words related to job qualities) 
Activity 3. Tag different types of jobs Activity 4. Have a discussion about the jobs Activity 5. Explore more 4. Learn about some prefixes.     Activity 6. Challenge yourself 5. Summarize the affixes learned. III Homework 
1. Summarize what you have learned in this class. 
2. Think of some other prefixes or suffixes and brainstorm as many examples as possible.
