Step 1: Warm up and lead in by guessing  
     T: Class, I’d like to start our class with a guessing game.  
1. Which letter can see? The letter”I” has the same pronunciation as eye. 2. What changes an arm into a farm? F  
T: Letter”I” and letter”f” can be a word”if”. Do you know the meaning of “if”?  
      Can you use “if” to make a sentence? Now we are having a class. If I am free, I will go shopping. If you are free, what will you do?        Ss:… (Ask about 6students) 
(通過猜測字母引出本課的主題if，并通過猜測，調(diào)動學生的積極性，活躍課堂氣氛) Step 2: Presentation: new words and drills.  
      T: You have made so many wonderful sentences. So I’d like to invite some of you to join my party. Class, next Friday is my daughter Coco’s birthday. I’d like to have a birthday party for her. I wll have the party on Saturday evening.  1). Would you like to come to my party?  
     S1: Sure, I’d like to. T: If you go to the party, you will have a good time.  
     S2: Sorry, I have to do my homework. T: If you don’t go to the party, you will be sorry.    2). What will you wear? 
     S1: I will wear jeans.   T: If you wear jeans, I won’t let you in.       Do you know”let you in”?  let sb. in means let sb. go in someplace.      S2: I will wear a dress.  T: If you wear a dress, you will look nice.    3). How will you go? 
     S1:I will take a bus.    T: If you take a bus, you will be late.

Step 3: 1a  Match the statements with the pictures.  
T: Some students are going to a party, too. Let’s look at the picutres and statements in 1a. First, let’s read the statements together. Now please match the statements with the pictures.  Check the answers.  
（通過1a的練習，讓學生操練if 從句，進一步的鞏固句型） Step 4: 1b. Listen and complete the responses in 1a.  
T: Do you know the responses to the statements? Let’s listen to the conversations and complete the responses in 1a.  
Check the answers.  
Ask Ss to read the tapescript.  
（從說過渡到聽，增加了一定的難度，進一步鞏固句型） Step 5: Pairwork  
   T: Class, you read it loudly and your pronuncitaions and intonations are very good. Now it’s time for you to make your own conversations like this. (shown in PPT) And you can also use the questions “What will you wear?” “How will you go?”  
Ask paris to show.  
（從被動的說到聽，再到學生主動的說，讓學生從輸入到輸出，檢驗學生對if 從句的掌握程度） 
Step 6: A guessing game 
   T: Class, all of you have done a very good job. So I’d like to give you a prize. Let’s play a party game. Here are 4 lovely frogs. What will happen if I touch them?  
Ask Ss to guess like this: If you touch it, it will cry/get angry/do exercises/smile. （通過游戲讓學生從課本中脫離出來，讓學生在游戲中去運用所學句型，進一步檢驗學生是否真正會用這個句型，并且通過游戲調(diào)動學生的積極性，活躍課堂氣氛） Step 7: Discussion  
   T: Class, you know I’m going to have a birthday party. Do you think is it easy to organize a party? Do you know”orgnize”? It means have or hold.     S1: No, it isn’t.  
T: If you are planning a class party now, what will you think about? List some important things.  
Ss: money, place, time, things(food, drinks), activities …  
（通過討論來，讓學生學習一些新的詞匯和話題，為下面聽的活動做好鋪墊） Step 8: 2a Listen and circle the correct answer to complete the sentences.  
  T: Class, Mark and Karen are going to have a party. Now they are talking about it. Let’s listen to the conversation and circle the correct answer to complete the sentences.  Do you know the meaning of “meeting”? It means   Check the answers.  
（通過聽讓學生學習舉辦派對所需要考慮的一些客觀原因，把if 從句與實際生活結(jié)合起來） Step 9:2b Listen again. Choose the correct short answer.  
T: Listen again. Choose the correct short answer in the box to answer each question. First, let’s look at the answers and questions.  Do you know  “watch a vedio” Check the answer.

T: Class, you know I am going to have a birthaday party. And it’s difficult to have a party, right?. I think it’s difficult to make the time and find the place. Can you help me? Please work in 4 and discuss about the time, the place, the food and the activities. First, discuss and finish the chart. And then write a report. Finally, I’d like to invite some of you to give us a report.    Ask some Ss to give a report.  
（讓學生在口頭，筆頭上都去輸出if 從句，鞏固if 從句，檢驗if 從句，讓學生能夠真正運用if 從句） 
Step 11: Homework 
1. Copy the new words for four times.  
2. Finish and improve the report and then read the report to your partners.  Bb design:
