 本單元帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生了解了一些有關(guān)地球污染，動物瀕危等問題。并且教給大家如何保護(hù)瀕危動物，如何通過回收利用等方式來保護(hù)地球。本單元分為section A and section B 兩個部分。本課為第三課時帶領(lǐng)大家了解我們能為地球做些什么。 三維目標(biāo)  (一) 知識與技能 
  1. To learn the following words and expressions.gate, bottle, president, ,metal等。 
2. To understand the pasage on Page 102. (二) 過程和方法 
   3. To get a general knowledge of pollution by reading and role-play.    4. To know about how to reduce pollution through discussion.  (三) 情感態(tài)度和價值觀

④ not only „but also: not only„but also„用于連接兩個表示并列關(guān)系的成分，其中的also有時可以省略。 
She not only plays well, but also writes music.  她不僅很會演奏，而且還會作曲。 
He works not only on weekdays but on Sundays. 
We were not only hungry, but also tired. 我們不但餓了，而且也累了。 
當(dāng)not only„but also連接兩個主語時，謂語動詞的數(shù)原則上與其相近的主語保持一致。 Not only the students but also their teacher is enjoying the film.  不僅學(xué)生們在欣賞這部影片，他們的老師也在欣賞這部影片。 ⑤ pull down: 拆毀,拉倒 
A small crowd attempted to pull down a statue.  一小伙人試圖推倒一尊塑像。 
They have managed to pull down the old building.  他們已拆毀了那幢舊建筑. Step 3 Exercises 
 Translate the following phrases.
