Step 1 Revision 
Revise the months and then ask and answer. Teacher’s activities 1. Ask students to talk about the months in a year. 2. Ask students to count and spell the months one by one. Students’ activities 1. Talk about the months in a year. 2. Count and spell the months. 3. Spell and check. 
Purpose 
Review the months in a year and lead to seasons. 
Step 2 Presentation 
1. Lead to Section A. 2. Present the new words. 3. Learn key points. Teacher’s activities 
1. Play a song “Seasons in the sun” and invite students to sing this song. 2. Ask students to talk about the seasons in a year.   T: How many seasons are there in a year? 
3. Ask students to talk about the weather in different seasons. 4. Ask students to talk about outdoor activities in different seasons.   T: Look at this picture. What’s the weather like in spring?     T: What can we do in spring?  
  T: I think it’s a good season for flying kites.   T: How is the weather in summer?           T: What do you often do in a hot day?     T: It’s a good time to go swimming.   (Fall, winter...) 
5. Present some new words and explain the key points and repeat . 6. Have a chant.

3. Get students to read 2a together follow the tape and explain some key points. 
4. Get students to practice 2a and role play in pairs. (Teacher&students / Groups &Groups) 
5. Ask students to talk about “My favorite season” in groups according to 2b and make up a new conversation. Then act it out. 6. Make a report.

1. Work in pairs and make up a new conversation with the structures in 1c. Then act it out. 
2. Listen to 2a and complete the conversation. 3. Read 2a together follow the tape. 
4.Practice 2a and role play in pairs.(Teacher&students/Groups &Groups) 5. Talk about “My favorite season” in groups according to 2b and make up a new conversation. Then act it out. 6.Make a report. 
Purpose 
Learn how to describe and talk about the weather. 
Learn to use superlative forms to express preference about seasons. Make sure if the students master the key points. Learn to cooperate with others to finish the task. 
 Step5 Summary and homework 
1. Summary 
 (1) Encourage the students to summarize the key points. 
 (2) Learn to sing a piece of song together. 2. Homework 

1. Write a passage about four seasons.  (2) Finish Section A in Exercise Book.  (3) Recite the dialog in 1a.

Purpose Summary the importance and difficulty. Activate the students’ interest in learning English.

Teaching reflections 
 
    在本節課中，主要學習了季節以及相應天氣的詞匯及短語，以及詢問天氣和如何表達做某事的最好季節（時機）的句子，詞匯量多，句型貼近生活實際。 
    因此首先采用了月份復習作為切入點，轉而到一年四季的話題，加以英文歌的導入，活躍氣氛， 引起學生的興趣。課堂中注重句型的掌握和反復操練，采用交叉操練，句型接龍比賽，師生扮演，學生角色扮演等形式，也注重了在課堂中央對詞匯的小結，采用看音標識詞的方式，從不同角度復習操練新詞匯，并加以chant活躍舒緩氣氛，集中學生注意力，同時復習重點詞匯。     在課堂快結束時，用小短劇《The Four Seasons》展示了學生預習及學習的結果，學生通過將四季擬人化，用角色扮演及舞蹈等方式展現了四季的特色，給學生提供展現自我的平臺。最后總結部分大膽地由學生擔任“小老師”上臺總結，再由教師總結一遍，再次強調了以學生活動為主的教學理念。 
    制作ppt課件時也格外注重圖片景色的美感，字體大小顏色，動靜結合。     不足之處在于，在學生評價上應該能更加多樣化，盡量減少不必要的口頭禪。
