   At the end of the class, students are able to a. spell the new words; b. talk about preferences; 
c. write a movie review with three parts: beginning, body and ending. 
3.Learning strategies: 
(1)Students are expected to guess the new words;

Teaching difficult and focal points: 
1. Students can co-operate and help each other while learning. 2. Students are expected to write a movie review with three parts: beginning, body and ending. Teaching procedures: Stage1: Warming-up Step1: Greetings. Step2: Free talk. 
Do you like to watch movies? Who is your favorite movie character? 
Stage3: Pre-writing. Step1: Modeling: 
T: Can you guess my favorite movie character? 
 
     教學(xué)反思：
1．本節(jié)課的設(shè)計由談?wù)撟钕矚g的電影角色導(dǎo)入，由學(xué)生談?wù)撓埠茫∕y favorite movie character is …）自然引入本課話題(movie review)，由詞組(take one’s place, fight in the army)到句型(The movie is about …)，由句子到文章(write a movie review)最后到小組合作和展示，層次清楚，由易到難，符合學(xué)生的認知規(guī)律。
2. 較好的整合了多媒體技術(shù)、數(shù)字資源和教材資源，在電子白板各種功能下、網(wǎng)絡(luò)平臺的配合下，較為成功的突破教學(xué)重難點，完成了教學(xué)目標。
3．評價方式多樣化。有教師評價，學(xué)生互相評價，還有網(wǎng)絡(luò)平臺上的評價，激勵學(xué)生大膽發(fā)言，培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新性思維。
4．語境性教學(xué)。從課堂的導(dǎo)入從最喜歡的電影角色說起，詞匯的學(xué)習(xí)借助圖片和視頻，寫作活動都是基于學(xué)生生活，語言環(huán)境真實，非常有利于學(xué)生對新知識的學(xué)習(xí)，更有利于目標語言的應(yīng)用。
5. 網(wǎng)絡(luò)資源的有效使用。利用電子白板技術(shù)，將學(xué)生的作文快速在班級共享，可以及時進行課堂檢測，反饋，科學(xué)地給出評價。
不足之處：
    由于使用電子白板，在切換操作過程中耽誤了一點時間；由于少數(shù)學(xué)生對寫作電影(Tom and Terry)了解不夠，寫作過程不暢，降低了學(xué)習(xí)的效果；在學(xué)生個性化輔導(dǎo)上需要更多的工作；在小組合作調(diào)查匯報時，老師更應(yīng)該給出更多的評價和引導(dǎo)。

1. Ask some questions about Mulan. Let the Ss think and answer the questions:  
“Do you like cartoons? Do you know Mulan? Can you say anything about it?”     
 Ss discuss the questions and answer the questions. e.g.  S1: Yes, I do. Mulan didn’t have any brothers. She took his father’s place to fight in the army.

2.Read the article about Mulan. Fill in the blanks in the movie review. Use the words in the box to help you.   3.寫作指導(dǎo)： 
首先，閱讀短文，整體把握短文大意。  
其次，分析有空格的每個句子，看空格處的意思，聯(lián)系所給單詞的意思，確定空格處應(yīng)填的單詞。 最后，再通讀一遍短文，看是否通順合理。  4. Ss try to read the article and try to fill in the blanks.    5. Check the answers with the Ss. Step 5.Writing   Work on 3b:  
1. Think about your favorite movies. Write notes for your own movie review.  
2. Give some examples to the Ss.

 本文為寫自己所喜歡的電影的劇情回顧，   因此，時態(tài)應(yīng)用一般現(xiàn)在時態(tài)與一般過去時態(tài)；   首先，可介紹影片的類型，及主人公等。  然后，介紹故事的梗概。  
 最后，表達你對該影片的總體看法。  
3. 學(xué)生們根據(jù)寫作提示，及上面表格中的提示來寫作這篇文章。 
4. Let some Ss read their passage to the class.   Ⅵ. Discussion 
1. Read the kinds of shows or movies in the chart in 4. Ask and answer about them with a partner. Write the answers in the chart.  
2. Give Ss some examples:
