一、教學目標：  1. 語言知識目標： 
1) 能掌握以下單詞： heel, scoop, electricity, style, project, pleasure, zipper, daily 能掌握以下句型： ①  —When was the telephone invented?  —I think it was invented in 1876.      
②  —What are they used for?  
  —They are used for seeing at night.   
2) 能談?wù)撐锲繁话l(fā)明的時間、發(fā)明者，表達某發(fā)明的用途。 2. 情感態(tài)度價值觀目標： 
   了解一些近現(xiàn)代發(fā)明的時間及用途，激發(fā)自己熱愛發(fā)明的情感。培養(yǎng)想象力，善于觀察事物。面對難題，用積極的態(tài)度去解決，發(fā)揮想象力，認識世界，改造世界。  二、教學重難點 1. 教學重點：  
1) 本課時的單詞、詞組和句型，學習運用一般過去時態(tài)的被動語態(tài)。 2) 學會詢問發(fā)明時間及用途的基本句型： —When was the telephone invented?    —I think it was invented in 1876.   —What are they used for?  
 —They are used for seeing at night. 2. 教學難點： 
運用一般過去時態(tài)的被動語態(tài)來討論發(fā)明的發(fā)明時間及用途。 三、教學過程 I. Warming up  
1. 展示一些近代發(fā)明的圖片與近代發(fā)明的發(fā)明者，讓學生們將圖片與發(fā)明者相連。 T: Do you know what these inventions are? S1: It’s a car.  S2: It’s a telephone.   
T: Do you know who these inventors are?   S1: Karl Benz S2: Alexander Bell 
Let Ss match the inventions and the inventors.  Ⅱ. Presentation  
讓學生們看大屏幕的如果愛和發(fā)明者的圖片,并將句子改為被動語態(tài)。 如：T: Karl Benz invented the first car in 1885.   
The first car was invented (by Karl Benz) in 1885.  Ⅲ. Talking  
1. Look at the pictures in 1a. Discuss with your group, in what order do you think they were invented? Try to number them [1-4].  2. Talking about the inventions:  
A: I think the TV was invented before the car.  B: Well, I think the TV was invented after the TV.   Ⅳ. Listening (1b) 
1. T: Tell Ss look at the pictures and years on the left.  2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen.  
3. Ss listen to the conversation and try to match the invention with the proper year.    4. Check the answers.  Ⅴ. Pair work (1c) 
1. Ss try to remember the invention and the year.    
2. Student B, cover the dates. Student A, ask Student B when the things in the picture in 1b were invented. Then change roles and practice again.  3. Let some pairs ask and answer in pairs.    e.g. A: When was the telephone invented? 
 
B: I think it was invented in 1876.  Ⅵ.  Listening  Work on 2a:   
T: Tell Ss they will hear some interesting inventions.    
1. Look at the pictures in 2a. Discuss the things what they are used for.   2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the pictures.   Work on 2b:  
1. Let Ss read the chart below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know what to do.   
2. Play the recording for the Ss to fill in the blanks.   3. Listen again and fill in the blanks.  Ⅶ. Pair work (2c) 
1. Tell Ss to make conversations using the information in 2b. Make a model for the Ss.  
  A: What are the shoes with special heels used for?   B: They are used for changing the style of the shoes.  
2. Let some Ss make conversations using the information in 2b.   3. See which group does the best.    Ⅷ. Role-play(2d)

 在學習中，懂得人類的科學發(fā)明創(chuàng)造了豐富的物質(zhì)文明，激發(fā)創(chuàng)造發(fā)明的能力和愿望。并樂于參加學習小組活動，積極合作。  【教學過程】 
 一、 導入（啟發(fā)探究  5分鐘）  通過課件呈現(xiàn)中國古代的發(fā)明:  
gun powder/compass/paper making/printing 然后問學生:What are they? 
Help the students to say :They are four inventions of China. Get the students to repeat. 
 
                    
             
                    
                            叫學生列舉一些他們知道的發(fā)明,如car,telephone,computer,TV等。 Then show some inventions on the screen to the students: 
Telephone, calculator, car, personal computer, TV, light bulb, alarm, clock 
Teacher: There are many useful things in the world. They help us a lot in life. (Show some pictures on the screen)

1. 要求學生翻開課本P41，迅速閱讀1a部分的內(nèi)容。并按要求完成課本上相應(yīng)的任務(wù): Number the pictures.（2分鐘） 
2. 檢查答案，先要求全班一起給出答案并檢查討論。 
3. 要求學生聽第一遍錄音，并完成課本上1b的聽力任務(wù): Listen and match the inventions with the years. Check their answers: 讀出序號-讀出年份-讀出完整的句子（2分鐘） 
4. 完成教材1c的任務(wù)，要求學生模仿1a內(nèi)容，進行對話練習。并邀請2-3對同學當堂進行演示。（3分鐘）  
5. 小結(jié)訓練。要求學生在規(guī)定的時間內(nèi)完成一個小練習。并請若干學生給出自己的答案。有錯誤的話及時解決糾正。（5分鐘） 用所給單詞的正確形式填空：

1.invent (v.)發(fā)明；創(chuàng)造invent 指發(fā)明創(chuàng)造出自然界本來不存在的東西，如工具、方法、手段、汽車、電器、合成材料等。 【橫向輻射】discover, find, create  
1.discover是“發(fā)現(xiàn)”的意思，是指發(fā)現(xiàn)原來就有而一直沒被發(fā)現(xiàn)，如發(fā)現(xiàn)電、煤、石油等礦藏及新星、星系或科學真理等。 
Columbus discovered America in 1492.1492年哥倫布發(fā)現(xiàn)了新大陸。 2.find的意思是“尋找”，強調(diào)找的結(jié)果，并不指發(fā)現(xiàn)。
