活動1【講授】Module　7　Unit　2
Warming-up:
1. Show some pictures.
2. Look at the pictures, and talk something about the pictures.
3. Review the text of Unit 1.
4. Enjoy a play: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
Step 1 Work in pairs:
Ask the students to look at the picture in Activity 2 and say what you think is strange.
1. It is standing up on its back legs. Rabbits can only walk on four legs.
2. It is wearing clothes. Rabbits don't wear clothes.
3. It is looking at a pocket watch. Rabbits don't carry watches and can't tell the time.
Step 2 Reading:
1. Play the recording and listen to the tape carefully.
2. Read the start of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and guess what happens next.
3. Ask the students to read through the passage.
4. Read the passage by themselves.
5. Read the text together.
Step 3 Number the events in the order:
1. Read the passage again.
2. Number the events in the order they happened in Activity 3.
a) Alice landed on some dry leaves.    
b) Alice was sitting by the river with her sister. 
c) Alice fell down a hole.  
d) A rabbit ran by. 
e) Alice ran across the field after the rabbit.
3. Check with a partner.
4. Call back the answers from the whole class.
Step 4 Answer the questions:
1. Answer the questions. Use the words and expression in the box.

1) Was Alice interested in her sister’s book? How do you know?
2) What color were the rabbit’s eyes?
3) Where was the rabbit’s watch before he took it out?
4) What did Alice run across after the rabbit?

Step 5 Writing:
1. Match the answers with the questions in Activity 5.

1. Once or twice she looked into her sister’s book.
(她偶爾看一眼姐姐的書,但書上既沒有插圖也沒有對話。
once or twice的意思是“偶爾,一兩次”。
例如:
I read some books in library once or twice a week.  我一周去一兩次圖書館看書。
2.“And what is a book for,” thought Alice, “without pictures or conversations?” “沒有
插圖也沒有對話的書有什么用?”愛麗絲想。
What…for? 表示“有什么用,為什么?”
例如: What did Tony go with me for? 托尼為什么和我一起去?
3. Suddenly she landed on some dry leaves… 突然,她落到了一些干樹葉上。
land on的意思是“落到……上”
例如:
The plane landed on the beach because of a thick fog.
由于大霧飛機降落在海灘上了。
His kite landed on the playground at last.
他的風(fēng)箏最后落到了操場上。
Step 7 Learning to learn:
1. Look for was / were doing sentences:
1) Alice was sitting with her sister by the river and her sister was reading a book.
2) … she was going to get out again.
3) She found she was falling down into a very, very deep hole.
4) She was falling for a long time.
5) While she was falling, she was thinking about her cat, Dinah.
Step 8 Do exercises:
A. 單詞拼寫
1. How beautiful her __________ (粉紅色的) dress is!
2. In autumn , the rice____________ (田地) look beautiful .
3. _____________(突然) he stood up and ran across the road .
4. The old man was standing with his hands in his _____________ (口袋).
5. He goes to Hong Kong on business____________ (兩次) a month .
