S: It’s a baseball.  
T: And what’s this in his hand.  S: It’s a baseball bat.  T: Yes. Read after me. Baseball bat. Please look at here. He is so tall. Who is he? 
S: He is Yao Ming. T: Yeah. And he plays… S: Basketball. 
T: I think each of you know her. Who is she?

                            “Do you have a…”.when we are talking about ownership, for example, this is a ping-pong ball, so we 
can ask, “Do you have a ping-pong ball?”. If you have one, you can say, “Yes, I do” (happily). But if you don’t have, you can say “No, I don’t”. Clear? 
T: OK. One more example. What’s this? 
S: It’s a basketball. 
T: So we can ask, “Do you have a basketball?”. And if you have, you can say, “Yes, I do”. But if you don’t, you can say “No, I don’t”.  
T: So who’d like to conclude the sentence structure for 
us? Look at the blackboard.  ____+you+have+n.? 
Yes, ______. / No, _________. 
2. exercise 
(1)T: Now let’s exercise more. What’s this? S: It’s a soccer ball.  
T: How to ask?Volunteers? 
S: Do you have a soccer ball? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. 
T: What’s this?  S: It’s a tennis ball. 
T: So how to ask?  
S: Do you have a tennis ball? 
(2)T: OK. Now let’s practice with partners. Two people a group. You can use the words that we study today. And you can also use the words we learnt before. But when you’re practicing, please pay attention to the standards. 
If you can ask and answer correctly, then you will get 1 point. If you can have some emotion, like “Yes, I do” (happily), then you will have 2 points. But if you have some expression and some body language, you will get 
3 points. Clear? OK, two minutes. Here you go. (3)T: You have done a good job. Let’s make it harder. Now you are ping-pong team, Yes or No. So you have a ping-pong ball or a ping-pong bat. When I am asking

teams are the same. Basketball Team only has a basketball… 
(4)T: It’s challenge time. As players we should be brave to challenge others. You can challenge anyone from our 
class. If he or she answers correctly, both of you will get one point. But he cannot answer you, you will get one point. Who will be the first one to challenge others? 
Step 4 Summary---chant ping-pong, tennis, soccer, baseball, volleyball Do you have a soccer ball? 
Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Do you have a volleyball? No, I don’t. No, I don’t. Do you have a ping-pong ball? Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Do you have a baseball?  No, I don’t. No, I don’t.  
T: The first line will be read twice, ping-pong(down tone), ping-pong(up tone). And girls read down tone, boys read up tone. The latter part let’s read like this.  T: Today we have studied so many words about sports, and have learnt to identify ownership with sentence “Do you have a …?”.In the future, I hope you can enjoy sports and enjoy life, just like what these players do because sports make life better.
