教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1. Listen to people talking about public holidays and talk about holiday plans and Chinese festivals.
2. Learn adverbial clauses with after, as soon as, before, since, until, when, while.
3. To know the differences between Western and Chinese festivals and cultivate students’ national pride. At the same time, let the students have the ability to carry forward the traditional culture.
2學(xué)情分析
九年級(jí)的學(xué)生已經(jīng)具備了一定的英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)和聽說能力,且樂于表達(dá)自己。本班的學(xué)生在課堂中表現(xiàn)比較活躍,并且有了一定的英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)和合作探究能力,他們樂于在小組討論中表達(dá)自己的思想并能夠通過討論學(xué)有所得。本節(jié)課將以圖片、flash動(dòng)畫等形式,結(jié)合Smart Notebook課件和交互式電子觸摸屏的屏幕遮蓋、聚光燈、圖片拖拽和放大的功能,采用聽、說、讀有機(jī)結(jié)合的方式,采用小組合作的方式。在課堂教學(xué)中,將學(xué)生分為八組完成學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù),激發(fā)學(xué)生興趣,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生表達(dá)自己。不僅有師生之間的互動(dòng),也有生生間的互動(dòng),以支持學(xué)生完成學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)。

2. To be able to read the dates correctly and talk about some Chinese and western festivals.

活動(dòng)1【導(dǎo)入】1. 創(chuàng)設(shè)情境,激趣導(dǎo)入:
為學(xué)生展示抗戰(zhàn)勝利日(V-Day Parade)在天安門廣場(chǎng)舉行閱兵的圖片,為了慶祝世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)勝利70周年(70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression),在此期間人們有三天的假期(three-day holiday ),從而引出本課公共假期的概念,導(dǎo)入本課主題。
活動(dòng)2【講授】2. 聽前準(zhǔn)備,掃清障礙:
(1)展示本課關(guān)鍵生詞和圖片(e.g. found, flag, until, off, all kinds of, season, band, since then…),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生將圖片和單詞聯(lián)系起來并造句從而幫助學(xué)生記憶。
(2) Look at the pictures and answer the questions.
看有關(guān)天安門廣場(chǎng)的圖片并回答兩個(gè)問題——
1. Which public holiday are people celebrating?
2. When is this holiday in China?
學(xué)生兩人一組進(jìn)行問答,找兩組同學(xué)進(jìn)行展示。
(3) Listen to the dialogue and complete the sentences with the dates of the following holidays in China, the UK and the US.
聽一段材料,學(xué)生分別作答,完成后對(duì)正答案。
活動(dòng)3【活動(dòng)】3. 聽中指導(dǎo),培養(yǎng)技能:
(1) Listen to the dialogue and answer what and when the public holiday is (complete the table).
聽課文,填寫文中分別提到的是各個(gè)國(guó)家的那個(gè)節(jié)日,且這個(gè)節(jié)日是在什么時(shí)候。學(xué)生分組進(jìn)行活動(dòng),將零散的答案連成句子作答。 (2) Watch the video and complete the table.
看課文視頻,完成有關(guān)課文中西方節(jié)日的對(duì)比。
活動(dòng)4【活動(dòng)】4. 聽后訓(xùn)練,語(yǔ)言輸出:
The students are going to have a group work. Before class, they have already searched the information about the festival. They will have five minutes to discuss some Western and Chinese festivals ( e.g. Spring Festival, Christmas, Lantern Festival, Mid-autumn Festival, Thanksgiving, Dragon-boat Festival) in groups, such as the tradition, what people usually do and eat during the festival. After that, each group would have representatives to present the festival in front of the whole class.

我國(guó)的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日——端午節(jié)已經(jīng)被韓國(guó)搶占申請(qǐng)為世界文化遺產(chǎn)。 所以保護(hù)我國(guó)的傳統(tǒng)文化并將其傳承(inherit)下去是我們義不容辭的責(zé)任。
活動(dòng)6【作業(yè)】6. 布置作業(yè),及時(shí)鞏固:
Writing a passage about a Chinese public holiday. Try to use the time adverbial clauses with when , while, before, after, until , as soon as.
