Teaching procedures Step 1 Greeting and Lead-in 1. Daily greeting. 2. Free talk. 
T: Do you like music？ Ss：Yes. 
T: I like music,too. OK, let’s enjoy the music. Listen to the music carefully and guess what the instruments they are playing？ Step 2 Presentation 
1. Let Ss to listen to the sound of the instruments like violin,drums,guitar,piano. Then show some pictures of them. 
T : Listen! Do you know what the sound of ? Ss ：I don’t know . 
T: Now, let me tell you. It’s the sound of guitar. Look,it’s a guitar. Guitar, read after me ,please.Guitar, guitar. Play the guitar. T：How clever ! Can you play the guitar ? S1 :No,I can’t. S2 : Yes, I can. 
T ：ⅹⅹⅹ can play the guitar.ⅹⅹⅹcan’t play the guitar. Read after me. He can play the guitar. She can’t play the guitar. Teach the new words: piano,violin,drums. 2.Let’s chant。 3.Memory challenge。 
Step 3 Game time (Act and say) 
 Act and show your classmates your talent.  
T: I will ask a student to do the actions. And all the students speak the words loudly.  Step 4 Work on 1a

                            1. Tell the Ss that they will listen to some sounds of the instruments. Listen and number the words [1-4] in the order of the sounds you hear in 1a.  2. Play the recording again and check the answers.  
3. Work on 1c. Have Ss make conversations about the four pictures. T:  Now let's work on 1c. Practice in pairs.    ---- Can you play the piano? ----Yes,I can. / No, I can’t. 4. Work on 1d. 
First, let one student read the words and phrases aloud. Then listen to the tape and circle the words and phrase you hear.  5. Check the answers:   
6. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to choose the right answers. 
T: Now please look at the screen. You'll listen to the tape again. Then try to choose the right answers. 
7. Check the answers with the class.  Step 6 Group work  
1. Children‘s Day is coming. We want some students for this Party. Can you find them? 
A:Do you want to join our party? B:Yes. 
A:Can you play ______ _______? B:Yes/No,I can’t. 
2. Teacher can walk around the classroom, and give some help to the Ss.  Step 7 Summary
