Step1. 視頻導入，主題預熱
播放視頻，《Mark’s life in a smart house》讓學生談一下感受和自己對智能家居的理解。
【設計意圖】課前環節是英語閱讀課中不容忽視的一個環節。其目的在于創設英語學習氛圍，激活學生已有的與主題知識和文化背景相關的知識，啟發學生思維，為隨后開展主題意義的探究作準備。視頻導入，讓學生直觀感受智能家居和普通家居的區別。
本環節的主要問題（Q）及主要的教師課堂串接語（T）如下：
Do you want to live in it?
Mark’s life is very cool, isn’t it?
What do you see about the smart home?
Step2.  看標題、看圖片，導入話題，問題引領，激活思維
通過瀏覽標題和副標題，引出話題，拋出問題，引導學生思考。
         
本環節的主要問題（Q）如下：
What’s the purpose of the text?
Who is the intend audience？
What’s the type of the text?
【設計意圖】通過寫作意圖、文章體裁來理解文章語言特點；通過標題和副標題，讓學生初步理解文章的主題，為下一步的分段閱讀賞析做預熱和鋪墊。
Step 3 緊扣題目，找準字眼，策略指導，獲取大意
教師在啟發學生思考之后，讓學生帶著問題，快速閱讀文章的引領段落（主題段落）并指導學生略讀，找到文章的主題，即智能家居的優勢。
本環節的主要問題（Q）如下：
What will be the advantages of smart home? How do you know?
【設計意圖】速讀環節承載著概括語篇主旨并梳理主要事實性信息的任務。重點在于如何指導學生利用合適的閱讀策略，如關注文章結構、尋找關鍵詞等方法，迅速準確地獲取關鍵信息。
Step 4 細讀文本，整合信息，問題引領，深層理解
Task1.Read para1 carefully and try to answer the questions.
    
            
【設計意圖】用問題引領學生，厘清智能家居的功能和優點，并了解作者的寫作手法。
  本環節的主要問題（Q）和課堂串語如下：
Why does the writer start the paragraph with two questions?
What will be a smart solution?
Task 2. 閱讀2-4段，學生帶著問題閱讀語篇并尋找答案。
    
【設計意圖】設計這個環節是為了培養學生成為獨立、高效的閱讀者。讓學生學會處理語篇淺層信息并主動走進語篇實現深度學習。通過回答一系列問題，運用和鞏固話題詞匯，了解作者寫作手法，訓練學生邏輯思維能力。同時通過重組語篇信息，內化吸收與話題相關的語言。
 本環節的主要問題（Q）和課堂串語如下：
In para2,What makes all these intelligent controls possible? How do you know that? How does the writer develop this paragraph?
In para3,What do you think“regular health checks”are？How does the writer develop this paragraph?
In para4, how do you think smart homes can prevent serious damages from accidents?
Task3. 仔細閱讀第五段，探究主題意義
   
本環節的主要問題（Q）和課堂串語如下：
How do you understand the home of today is already the home of tomorrow?
What’s the author’s attitude? What’s your attitude toward smart homes?
【設計意圖】這一環節屬于閱讀中的深層理解活動。通過深度閱讀，整合文本信息，了解作者語篇表層信息下要傳遞的深層意義，既要對未來智能科技保持客觀、理性態度。
step5.把握文章結構，提取關鍵信息、構建思維導圖

【設計意圖】引導學生整合信息，內化知識，提煉關鍵信息，形成思維導圖。
Step6. 遷移運用
If you were the designer of the smart home, try to introduce it to the customers with the given information.
(The advantages of smart house,such as save energy, automatic controls, monitor health, keep you secure and so on.)
   
 
Step7. 逐步理解，再次關注德魯克名言“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”，進一步理解語篇主題意義。
       
Step8. Homework
If you are able to create a smart device for your home, what will you create?write about your creation.
1. A name indicating the device
2. A general introduction to it.
3. Examples illustrating its new function.
4. The benefits the new device can bring.
【設計意圖】
將語篇與實際生活相聯系，通過小組合作完成，遷移使用教材中語篇的機構和語言。
