1.教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析
本課時(shí)的閱讀篇章以第一人稱講述了因?yàn)閷?duì)英語電影的喜愛,一名英語學(xué)習(xí)被動(dòng)、困難的學(xué)生轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)橐幻鲃?dòng)學(xué)習(xí)英語,并且熱愛英語的學(xué)生的故事。這是一個(gè)典型的敘事性文本。文章首先介紹了主人公Wei Fen 在英語學(xué)習(xí)中遇到的問題和困難,其次介紹主人公通過觀看英文電影的方法,逐漸對(duì)英語學(xué)習(xí)產(chǎn)生了興趣,進(jìn)而學(xué)會(huì)了如何學(xué)習(xí)英語;最后概說主人公的這個(gè)經(jīng)歷給讀者帶來的啟迪和思考。教師在這節(jié)閱讀課的教學(xué)中應(yīng)注意在訓(xùn)練、發(fā)展學(xué)生閱讀水平的同時(shí),能幫助他們意識(shí)到提高學(xué)習(xí)興趣以及改進(jìn)學(xué)習(xí)方法的重要性,進(jìn)而引導(dǎo)學(xué)生形成面對(duì)困難、永不放棄、積極找尋對(duì)策的這種生活和學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度。
2.學(xué)生情況分析
語篇主人公Wei Fen 在一開始的英語學(xué)習(xí)中遇到的困難、到后來找到適合自己的學(xué)習(xí)方法,對(duì)英語學(xué)習(xí)逐漸產(chǎn)生了興趣進(jìn)而改變了自己英語學(xué)習(xí)的現(xiàn)狀的一個(gè)親身經(jīng)歷的描述,不但貼近學(xué)生的生活實(shí)際,而且還能在很大程度上激發(fā)學(xué)生相同的情感共鳴和閱讀興趣。

能理解并運(yùn)用下列重點(diǎn)詞匯:expression, discover, secret, grammar, look up;

培養(yǎng)學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)自我反思,主動(dòng)調(diào)整自己的學(xué)習(xí)方式,根據(jù)自己的學(xué)習(xí)特點(diǎn)選擇相應(yīng)的學(xué)習(xí) 策略和方案。
5.教學(xué)過程設(shè)計(jì)
Step 1:Warming-up
Talk about students’ ways in English learning: How do you learn English?
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過這個(gè)問題的設(shè)計(jì),了解學(xué)生英語學(xué)習(xí)的現(xiàn)狀,從而為后面的教學(xué)做好鋪墊。
Step 2:Lead-in
Show students two pictures to help them learn more about ways in English learning. And ask some questions: Do you learn English by ...? Does it help? Have you learnt English by ...? (ppt-2) Teach the new words and phrases: do grammar exercises, look up new words in a dictionary
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過談?wù)搶W(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的方法,既能快速激發(fā)學(xué)生的閱讀興趣,又能順其自然地
處理部分生詞,為閱讀做好鋪墊。 Step 3:Pre-reading
1. Show Ss the picture from the textbook and introduce the main character: Look! Here comes Wei Fen. She’s also English learner. How does she learn English? (ppt-3)
2. Show the title of the article: How I Learned to Learn English. Ask Ss the question: Look at the title! Can you predict what the passage will be about? (ppt-3)
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:讀前結(jié)合課文插圖以提問的方式開展活動(dòng),其主要目的也是為了激發(fā)學(xué)生的閱讀興趣,通過對(duì)文章的主要內(nèi)容進(jìn)行猜測(cè),使學(xué)生饒有興趣地期待在閱讀過程中來驗(yàn)證自己的猜測(cè)。 Step 4:While-reading
1. Ask Ss to read the story and match the main idea with each paragraph. Tell Ss to pay attention to the topic sentences. (ppt-4)
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:選出中心思想可以幫助學(xué)生梳理文章的脈絡(luò),關(guān)注文本的框架。
2. Ask Ss to read the passage paragraph by paragraph carefully and finish the following tasks:
Task 1: 1) Read Para1 and find out Wei Fen’s problem in English learning by asking them questions and complete the chart: When did Wei Fen have the problem? What was her problem? How did she feel about her English class? Why did she have such a terrible feeling? What did she do in English class? (ppt-5)
2) Read Para1 and let students imagine Wei Fen’s feeling at that time. (ppt-6)
Task 2: 1) Read Para 2 and ask them some questions: What happened to her then? How did she like it? Did she become interested in watching English movies after that? What was her way to learn English? What did she learn from watching movies? (ppt-7-10)
2) Read Para 2 and get students guess the meanings of some new words in the passage and ask them a question: What is your secret to language learning?
3) Read Para 2 and complete the sentences with what Wei Fen learned from watching movies in 3b. (ppt-11)
Task 3: Read Para 3 and ask three questions: How does she like her English class now? What does she want to do later? What’s your plan in English learning? (ppt-12)
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過提問、尋找答案、思維導(dǎo)圖以及的填空和同義詞替換的形式幫助學(xué)生更好地整理思路、把握文章的細(xì)節(jié)內(nèi)容,培養(yǎng)上下文猜測(cè)詞義的能力和遣詞造句的能力。 Step 5:Post-reading
1. Ask students to talk about Wei Fen’s experience in English learning in pairs and ask a question: What do you think of Wei Fen’s experience in English learning? (ppt-13)
2. Get Ss to discuss in groups about the questions: Why does Wei Fen enjoy her English class now? Why does she share her experience? Encourage students to share their ideas. (ppt-14)
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過同伴練習(xí)和小組討論幫助學(xué)生領(lǐng)悟文章“遇到困難永不放棄,積極找尋對(duì)策”的精髓。
