Learn the new words of Unit 9 in one class. Let the Ss read the words correctly and try to memorize them. Teaching and learning steps:
Step 1 Let Ss read the new words by themselves in fours for 5 minutes. Then let them read first, at the same time ask them to underline the combined letters
（eg.ie/th/ch/gr/phy/wh/au/ay/ur/ee/oo/ur/ful/sh/ss/our/）and their pronunciations, then correct their pronunciation.（讓學生小組成員間先自讀單詞，初步感知，了解自己哪些還不會讀，以便下一步重點學習。）
Step 2 Teach them how to read them by reading the phonetic symbols.
Pay attention to the underlined letters and their pronunciation.
science, math, Chinese, geography, because Monday, Friday, free, cool, Thursday, finish,lesson, hour (此步驟的目的是讓學生注意這些字母及組合的發音，復習了部分音標，了解幾個字母組合。)
Step 3 Get some individual Ss to read and correct their pronunciation .
(為了重點解決學生不會讀的單詞。)
Step 4 Read after the tape.（聽覺刺激。）
Step 5 Read after the teacher . （因為學生聽老師的發音會更清楚更有針對性， 老師可隨時停下來糾正學生的發音，并可重復多次。）
Step 6 Learn to remember words.
Let Ss look at the pictures, learn the words.(利用圖片使學生更直觀的學習單詞。同時通過拓展的詞組和音樂的播放加深對生詞的理解)
展示交流：
1. 完成1a 將電影類型與海報匹配. 2.聽錄音完成1a 圈出你聽到的電影類型..
3. 讓學生理解并復述聽力對話. 并和你的同學編新對話. 4. 聽錄音完成2a和2b . 合作探究：小組討論
