1.掌握基本的閱讀技能
2. 了解中國(guó)的一個(gè)典型特色,進(jìn)城務(wù)工人群的生活,對(duì)家鄉(xiāng)的感覺。
Language points(語(yǔ)言點(diǎn))
要求掌握以下句式: find much time to do sth It’s a shame that …
According to .... regard …with … It’s such a …
2.要求掌握以下詞匯:
(1)動(dòng)詞:search, regard, count (2)名詞:crayon, shame, century, childhood
(3)形容詞:opposite (4) 副詞: nowadays, especially
(本節(jié)課的生詞較少,而且單詞的拼寫比較簡(jiǎn)單,所以學(xué)生學(xué)起來(lái)不會(huì)感到困難,如果班級(jí)學(xué)生的水平較高,可以鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生當(dāng)堂掌握。)
Difficulties(難點(diǎn)):用英語(yǔ)描述家鄉(xiāng)的變化,及對(duì)家鄉(xiāng)變化的情感。
Teaching steps(教學(xué)步驟)
1. Warm-up(課堂熱身)
Warming up: 1.Show two pictures (one is about a city, the other is about a countryside) and ask: Where do you want to live? Why? Where do you want to work? Why?

3. Work on 2a
T: Skim the article and confirm if your answers are the same as the passage.
(教師可以四處走動(dòng),以幫助學(xué)生怎樣理解文章的大意。并對(duì)個(gè)別難懂對(duì)他們閱讀有障礙的地方進(jìn)行注解。)

4. Work on 2b
T:
Read the article again and find expressions in the passage that have the same meanings as these words and phrases.
For weaker Ss, make sure they understand the given words/phrases before asking them to complete the exercise.
Alternatively, have Ss volunteer to explain the given words/phrases in English or (L1) their own language and find the correct expressions in the passage.

6. Post-reading (Work on 2d)
T: Look at these two pairs of pictures. Can you point out the differences?
Show two pairs of pictures (compare now with the past)
Have Ss describe what they see in the pictures. Focus on the changes Ss can see in the “now” pictures from the “before” pictures.
T: Think of changes that are happening in your town or city today. Which changes are generally good? Which changes could be seen as bad? Then write a report.
Show Ss the sample report and explain the structure and the use of tone in the report. Give adequate guidelines to Ss.
Have Ss do this activity in pairs if they are not confident enough.
For stronger Ss, have them write the report on their own.

7. Homework
1. Read the article in 2a aloud.
2. Try to describe the changes in your hometown.
教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生關(guān)注自己家鄉(xiāng)的變化,嘗試用英語(yǔ)描述自己家鄉(xiāng)的變化。
