T: OK, Let’s learn Unit 1 How can I get there? Are you ready? S: Yes, I’m ready.
T&S:Let’s go!
Ⅱ.Presentation
I.Teach Let’s learn
Show some pictures on PPT - look and guess
T:Wow, who is she? S:...
T:yeah, it’s me. And this is... S:An apple S:A singer S:Our school S: Foot
T:Now , try to say something about me. For example, I like apples.
S:You like apples. S:You like singing. S:You go to school on foot.
T:Yes, you’re wonderful. I go to work on foot because I want to keep health.
T:On your way to school , What can you see ?
Ss: I can see hospital, tree, car, classmate, ......
T: On my way to school I can see some traffic signs
Show the traffic signs on PPT.
Turn right, turn left, (Teach pronunciation: practice one by one)
Let’s chant together: left, right, left, right, go ,turn around go go go(three times)
Go straight, crossing, (Teach pronunciation: practice one by one,and practice the pronunciation.)
II.Practice
Use some cards to practice new words to remember it.
Show two crossings on PPT
Teach sentence pattern: Go straight to the first/second crossing then turn left/right. Let students to be a guide to practice the sentence.
III.Teach Let’s talk
T: I have three new friends , can you guess who are they? Show some cards
S:They are Wu Yifan, Mike and Robin.
Show two pictures on PPT. (Italian restaurant and Wu Yifan Mike Robin) Let’s listen and say
T: They are so hungry, but they don’t know where is the restaurant? Let’s listen to the tape and answer the question.
S1:It’s next to the park on Dongfang street.
S2:It’s next to the park on Dongfang street
Ss:It’s next to the park on Dongfang street
Pair work
Show some pictures on PPT to practice the sentence patterns. The teacher andstudents.
Then let students in pairs to practice the sentence patterns.
T: Eh... But they don’t know how can they get there? Let’s listen to the tape and say”How can they get there?”(listen to the tape two times)
S1,S2,S3,Ss:Turn left at the bookstore. Then turn right at the hospital.
